 ance Ministry serves as a vital lifeline for Mecklenburg County families i
 n financial crisis\, providing the essential support and advocacy they nee
 d to regain self-sufficiency.\n	\n		Proceeds from the 2026 Strides for She
 lter event will directly fund a major transformation of their Free Store. 
 This initiative will modernize the shopping environmentimproving organizat
 ion\, layout\, and flowto ensure that families can access clothing\, shoes
 \, and household essentials with dignity and ease. By reducing congestion 
 and creating a more welcoming\, customer centered space\, these upgrades w
 ill provide a more supportive experience for our neighbors during their mo
 st challenging moments.\n	\n		\n	\n		Thank you for your support of Strides
  for Shelter 5K\n	\n		Since the inception of the Strides for Shelter 5K in
  2016\, the Canopy Housing Foundation has returned more than $242\,000 fro
 m the race proceeds to several worthy local beneficiaries who are all work
 ing to address the needs of the homeless.\n	\n		As the sponsoring organiza
 tion\, the Canopy Housing Foundation is the charitable arm of the Canopy R
 ealtor(R) Association. The Foundation works to create a community where al
 l housing needs are met through advocacy\, education\, funding and leaders
