September is Realtor® Safety Month! A great time to review best practices and learn what you can do to keep you and your clients safe.  Join us for a half-day Safety Camp at Canopy Realtor® Association.  The event will include guest speakers, a swag bag, door prizes and more.

Topics Include:

• Learn how to recognize and prevent wire fraud and seller impersonation scams by identifying common schemes, spotting red flags, and applying best practices to protect consumers.
• Get a review of real North Carolina Real Estate Commission disciplinary cases and discuss practical risk management strategies.
• Learn practical, option-based survival strategies for responding to active threats and violent incidents, including workplace violence, stress response, actions during an active shooting, basic first aid, and interacting with responding law enforcement.
• Review MLS tools focused on safety including Forewarn, Supra, and ShowingTime.
• Participate in a high-energy training featuring real-world lessons, demonstrations, and guidance applicable to workplaces, schools, places of worship, and other public settings.

• This event is for Canopy Realtor® Association members only (primary and secondary members) – no charge; however, a $25 no-show fee will be assessed for no-shows who do not cancel before the event by Sept. 16.
• This event is intended for adult attendees only. Children will not be permitted to attend.
• No guests are allowed.
