Data centers have become an increasingly visible and controversial part of the economic development and land-use conversation across our region, North Carolina, and the nation. It is imperative that our membership know the facts. Realtors® should know as much as we can about data centers. By understanding why they are being developed and their potential impact and benefit to our communities and the housing market, we can converse factually with clients and other business connections.
Join us on Oct. 5 for an important, timely, fact-based look at data center development. Our presentation offers vetted information from multiple perspectives. We’ll hear from a commercial Realtor®, land developer, and an engineer as they discuss how data centers work, factors that influence location, and the infrastructure and land requirements associated with these projects.
The guest speakers will also explore the economic and community considerations surrounding data center development, including the potential benefits and concerns related to land use, utilities, infrastructure, tax revenue, employment, nearby development, and residential communities.
